Look, I get it – nobody loves reading privacy policies. But your privacy is incredibly important to me, so I’ve written this in plain English to explain exactly what information I collect, why I need it, and how I protect it.
The Simple Version
What I collect: Your email address (if you subscribe), basic website usage info, and any information you voluntarily share with me.
Why I collect it: To send you helpful content, improve the website, and occasionally recommend products I genuinely believe will help your hormone health journey.
What I don’t do: Sell your information, spam you with irrelevant stuff, or share your personal details with random companies.
Your control: You can unsubscribe, ask me to delete your information, or request a copy of what I have about you anytime.
Information I Collect
Information You Voluntarily Give Me
Email Newsletter Signup: When you subscribe to my newsletter, I collect your email address and first name (if you provide it). That’s it. No sneaky required fields or unnecessary personal details.
Contact Forms: When you email me through the contact forms, I receive whatever information you choose to share – typically your name, email, and your message or question.
Recipe Reviews & Comments: If you leave a comment or review on the blog, I collect your name (or the name you choose to use), email address, and your comment content.
Free Resource Downloads: When you download free guides or resources, I collect your email address to send you the download link and add you to my email list (with your permission).
Information I Collect Automatically
Website Analytics: I use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use my website. This includes information like:
- Which pages are most popular (so I know what content is most helpful)
- How you found my site (Google search, social media, etc.)
- General location info (city/state level, nothing creepy specific)
- Device type (mobile vs. desktop) to ensure the site works well for everyone
Cookies: My website uses cookies (small data files stored on your device) to:
- Remember if you’ve subscribed to my newsletter (so I don’t keep asking)
- Track which recipes you’ve viewed (to suggest similar ones)
- Keep the website functioning properly
- Analyze website traffic through Google Analytics
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the website might not work as smoothly.
How I Use Your Information
Email Communications
Newsletter Content: I send weekly emails with new recipes, hormone health tips, and research updates. I typically send 1-2 emails per week, and I promise never to spam you with daily promotions.
Free Resource Delivery: When you download a free guide, I’ll send you the download link and may follow up with related helpful content.
Personal Responses: When you email me directly, I use your email address to respond to your questions personally.
Website Improvement
Content Development: I analyze which articles and recipes are most popular to create more content you actually want to read.
Technical Improvements: I use website analytics to identify and fix any technical issues or improve site speed.
Product Recommendations
Affiliate Partnerships: Occasionally, I recommend products I genuinely use and believe in. Some of these recommendations include affiliate links, meaning I earn a small commission if you purchase (at no extra cost to you). I only recommend products I personally use or would recommend to my own family.
Transparency Promise: I clearly disclose all affiliate relationships and never let potential earnings influence my recommendations.
